We have gotten a lot of questions in regards to our first trimester with baby. Since it was kept a secret until 17 weeks. A lot of you have wanted to know more about fitness, working out, morning sickness and what not. So I am sharing all the detail with you here.
Q: What workouts made you feel the best during your first trimester and did you have morning sickness?
I typically was able to work out 4/5 days a week at Orange theory. I love a good high intensity workout and consulted with my doctors regularly on working out there. Morning sickness still seemed to hit at all hours of the day for me but working out def. made me feel a little better.
Q: How has your fitness routine changed/ been modified, if at all, and when did you start to show?
My fitness routine did not change much, nor did I really have to modify anything in my workout. The key is to always listen to your body. My biggest struggle was getting sick while working out but I would feel great afterwards. I didn’t show at all during my first trimester.
Q: What’s the best advice for first time mamas going through the first trimester?
Exercise! Even if it means just getting out for a walk with you’re spouse or dog. You won’t regret moving your body as much as you can throughout your pregnancy. Most people’s morning sickness ends around the second trimester unfortunately for me it has not. Also try to enjoy every second of your pregnancy it goes quickly.
Q: How did you deal with morning sickness/nausea? Did you have to take any medicine?
My doctors had me start taking Vitamin D and B. It has helped a little with the morning sickness but I am throwing up every day. I try to really just stay positive, going to work was extremely hard.
Q: What are your food aversions?
Meat (the smell has been pretty awful) especially raw meat.
